Training
for Employment
What is it?
Training for Employment is a 26 week part time local
training initiative. The course aims to build the skills and confidence of all the participents and supports people in identifying specif career paths. We faciliate the indivuals progression into employment, self employment and/or future education.
What
is the content of the programme?
Every
course is different and we try and meet the needs of as many as possible
in the group but in the list below describes many of the components
of courses to date:- Computer Applications*, Information Technology
Skills*, DIY, Occupational First Aid*, Communications*, Maths *, Personal
Development*, Food & Nutrition *, Preparation for Work *, Site and
training visits, Work Experience*, Optional areas of interest to be
decided by the group.

These modules are delivered as a part of the FETAC level 3 or 4 national
certificate.
Where
& When?
The next 26 week programme is due to start in the summer of 2008. The programme will run from Monday to Friday 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Who is eligible?
Men
and women aged 16 to 64 years who are currently unemployed or in part-time
work. Training, travel, childcare, and meal allowances are available
to eligible candidates (FAS terms and conditions apply)
