and Employment Options
What
is it?
Employment Options is a 26 week full time local training initiative
which aims to build confidence of all participants and supports people
to identify specific career paths which will facilitate their progression
into employment/self employment or onto further education or training.
What
is the content of the programme?
Every course is different and we try and meet the needs of as many as
possible in the group but the list below describes many of the components
of courses to date:- Computer Applications*, Information Technology
Skills*, DIY, Occupational First Aid*, Communications*, Maths *, Personal
Development*, Food & Nutrition *, Preparation for Work *, Site and
training visits*, Work Experience*, Optional areas of interest to be
decided by the group.

These modules are delivered as a part of the FETAC Level 4 national
certificate.
Where
& When?
The programme will take place in the West Offaly Partnership/ FÁS
offices at Bridge Street, Birr. The programme will run Monday to Friday
9.30am - 4.30pm. Employment Options will re-commence in November 2007 and will run until May 2008.
(26 weeks).
What will you gain ?

they are interested in

Who is eligible?
Men and women aged 16 to 64 years who are currently unemployed (or in
part-time work). Training, travel, childcare, and meal allowances are
available to eligible Candidates (Fas terms and conditions apply).
